Soul Collector Series
Cassandra Aurora has never been normal and has always been labelled a 'murderer'. Every thing Cassandra's family knew about her changed eighteen years ago at the tender age of five. When most children of that age were learning to read and sleep without the light on, she was learning to collect souls that belong within the light. For months before the death of her mother Cassandra had been having vivid dreams of her mother and grandmother - watching helplessly as her grandmother would place Cassandra's small palm against her mothers heart until all the light had drained from her mothers eyes. That was Cassandra's training. She knew that now and had seen it a million times over!
Cassandra is Maine's Soul Collector of the light spirits and not a day goes by without someone calling her a murderer but with a delightfully aged, robust boss who refuses the patrons of her diner to speak that word or to treat Cassandra any different, she has finally come to terms with her gift. And she finally feels apart of the community - well if she just ignores the stares, whispers and finger pointing in the street - then she feels apart of the community.
Luc Blackheart is tall, dark, heavily tattooed and devastatingly handsome and has just waltzed into Cassandra's life in his cherry red 1970's Corvette. Regardless of him being the spitting image of her dead boyfriend, Cassandra can't help but be attracted to him. Even when her common sense is telling her to stay away and the dark spirits surge around her every time they are together. The connection they share is purely sexual and Cassandra wants nothing more than to act on the visual images that flash through her mind when they touch.
Jake Sanders is tall, blond, muscular and ruggedly handsome and is the grandson of her boss, Marie. He needs someone to show him around Maine and Marie believes that Cassandra is just the person for the job.Cassandra is instantly attracted to Jake, despite her new relationship with Luc. Her dreams become more realistic the more she and Jake are together which sparks something deep within her soul. Something that makes her believe they have met before. But the ever guarded Jake is unwilling to admit nor deny the connection they seem to share.
With Castine having two new neighbors who have been seen with the resident murderer fingers are quick to be pointed when people begin to turn up dead in the most unlikeliest of places. Which only leaves Cassandra being plagued more and more by the dark spirits and the recently departed. She needs to find out who the killer is and also the reason behind the recent deaths. But that is easier said than done when she has two extremely gorgeous men vying for her attention and grave warnings about her own life.
